My wife and I went out with the Capullo on our honeymoon. We had a fabulous day! We landed 9 sailfish, 2 dorado, and hooked a 350 lb marlin. All the sailfish were 80 plus pounds, with the largest two being about 100 lbs. My wife’s dorado was a 35 lbs cow and mine was a 60 lbs bull. My wife fought the 350 lbs marlin for over 20 mins, before it broke the line. My wife lost a sailfish right at the boat before the mate could touch the leader, and I lost a dorado. We had 9 more sailfish that rose to hit the teasers and just would not take the bait. We had about 10 more hits that were on the bait furthest from the boat. The service on the boat from the Captain to the deck hands are second to none! They constantly took care of us and made us feel like family. They were friendly and took time to cater to what you wanted to do. They constantly asked us if we need something to drink or if we were hungry. The fresh fruit was so good along with the wonderful sandwich for lunch. I would compare the food to a fine bistro. The next time that I go to Costa Rica you can bet that I am going to take another trip with the Capullo.

Myself and three buddies came to Costa Rica to go billfishing with Captain Steve Curtis on the Capullo a few weeks back. This was my second trip down to fish with the Capullo team. The fishing was very good. We caught 8 sailfish, several tuna, dorado and other types of fish. We raised 2 marlin. Two of our guys caught their first billfish. Actually, the newbies each caught 3 sails on their first trip! Spoiled them the first time!

The service on Capullo was second to none. I have fished all over the world and I can’t remember a better crew that I have fished with. The crew goes out of their way to make sure your taken care of. The boat, equipment and food was great. My last trip was great, this one was even better, so I am booking another trip for later this year to bring my son who is now getting to the age that he wants to go. Very family friendly. I recommend Capullo highly!!
